Eat Chocolate, Help Save Animals

Sarah Gross had a vision to unite her passion for animals with her love of chocolate. What resulted was Rescue Chocolate, a chocolate company committed to saving the lives of homeless animals. Located in Brooklyn, N.Y., Rescue Chocolate's slogan - the sweetest way to save a life - could not be truer. That’s because 100 percent of the net profits from the sale of their chocolate bars are donated to animal shelters and rescue organizations around the country. What's more, Rescue Chocolate is completely vegan, so it actually supports all animals because it is cruelty-free, sans animal ingredients.

Flavors include:
  • Peanut Butter Pit Bull (a crispy peanut butter and chocolate bar to counter the negative stereotypes of pit bulls)
  • Pick Me! Pepper (sweet 'n' spicy dark chocolate with peppers highlighting the benefits of choosing animals from shelters as opposed to breeders and pet stores)
  • Foster-iffic Peppermint (dark chocolate with peppermint emphasizing the need for people to provide foster care for shelter animals before they find their forever home)
  • The Fix (rich 66% dark chocolate stressing the importance of spay and neuter)
Each month Rescue Chocolate throws their support behind a specific animal organization. During that month, a portion of the sale price of each chocolate bar goes to that organization. The No Kill Advocacy Center, dedicated solely to promoting a No Kill nation, is the chosen beneficiary for the month of May.

There has never been a better opportunity to get your chocolate fix and help animals at the same time. It's a win-win!
